LaKeisha was tired of the life she was living, so she decided that she would spend 100 days trying to change it. Not only would she embark on this journey, but she would document the entire thing in the hopes that it would inspire others to know that they can change too.
“I am overweight, I have low self-esteem, I am going through a depression and I want to change all of that,” she says in her YouTube video. “During the next 100 days, I will be on a journey of losing weight and finding myself.”

LaKeisha revealed the reasons that she wanted to change in her video.
“I always thought of myself as unattractive and not fit to be married or have kids,” she explains. “I have a lot of friends that are moving on in life and doing really great things and I’m happy for them, but I still feel that I’m kind of stuck.”
Admitting these kinds of truths about yourself is no easy task, especially when you’re admitting it to the entire world on the internet.
Still, she was determined.
“I want you to see how one person really changes everything about their life,” she said.
It didn’t matter how bad the weather was or whether or not she was up for it, but LaKeshia went to the gym every single day for 100 days and the results showed.
At the end of 100 days she had lost 18 pounds and within one year’s time she dropped a total of 51 pounds. But what she gained over that time was more important than the weight she lost.
